The forums seem to know me...but I'm login in on the front page first...so that might be why

Yeah I know... it's related to the forum bridge.  It's a cataloged bug that the author is working on.

I recently installed an update to the bridge that is intended to improve on the account synchronization issues.

If it's a long-term problem, it's also possible to decouple session management between the front page and the forum so that you just log into each one and then the "remember me" thing should work better.  But, for now, let's see...
