Agreed... but we did beat them. :P

BTW, Grim is talking about taking position in the water for the standoff in Death Toll.  Hunters cannot pounce when standing in the water, making it really hard to form an effective group coordinated assault on the survivors.  Our opponent team exploited this by camping way back in the water.

Honestly, I think that exploit is too new for people to expect some sort of "neutrality agreement".  It's sort of natural for people to demonstrate their elite knowledge of the game to everyone, and eventually everyone agrees "yeah it's lame" and no one does it anymore.  The melee door on the second level of No Mercy is a good example.

So, clearly it sucks, and let's agree to not use that strategy in the future.  It's game-killing enough that I expect Valve to fix it soon, anyway.

The really annoying part was spawning next to them in the water

Oh yeah I forgot about that.

It's strange that the game was so bad at handling that, since it's so good at it the rest of the time.  Maybe there are no indoor spawn points to conceal from them when they are in the water.

I've had similar spawning issues when survivors camp (or in my case, constantly held) at the edge of the map during finale.  I was playing BH and all our boomers and hunters would spawn in the middle of their group because they had been pushed to the far wall by a tank and never got back.

So that particular issue is not map specific.

<3 grimgriz

yeah, it's the same thing on the finale on blood harvest or dead air (if you stand on the far edge of the level it screws up the spawning system).  The only bad thing about camping back there is that the tank can throw rocks willy nilly =\
